For Fallout: New Vegas on the Xbox 360, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'How do you run or sprint?' It says I can't run Fallout 3 but I can run New Vegas. Fallout 3 runs just fine on my PC.:brokencomputer: Maya Maya Posts: 3511 Joined: Wed Jul 05, 2006 7:35 pm » Wed Sep 01, 2010 5:33 pm. I was able to run Fallout 3 with no issues. My only concern is that my CPU does not meet the box requirements for New Vegas. Can I run Fallout: New Vegas without a video card? duplicate I was looking at my laptop's specifications ( an Hp probook ) and it doesn't have a video card. Can I still get and run Fallout: New Vegas? Newest fallout-new-vegas questions feed Subscribe to RSS Newest fallout-new-vegas questions feed To subscribe to this RSS feed, copy.

CCNA Edit I have decided to make this thread the Official one for figuring out if your PC will run the game.To make this easy, if you can run Fallout 3, you can run New Vegas. Here are the Reccomended Requirements. As you can see, the hardware needed is not bleeding edge, so most modern gaming PCs will have no issues running this game.usual, on board graphics (no seperate video card) will not run this game. If you have that, you will have to investigate adding a video card to your current system.

There may be some integrated graphics solutions coming that can run modern games, but for now, they are not up to the rendering needed. If you have any doubts, please post what you have here and we will make a educated guess based on what we know about how Fallout 3 runs. However, this educated guess will be pretty accurate. All other Hardware Threads will be closed and directed to this one. Here is the Link to the Hardware Requirements Lab that can help you determine if you can run the game. Thanks to Trekkie107 for providing this.original first post in this thread follows. The only thing im concerned with is the video card, the pc hasnt come in yet and im not sure what its capable of, the video card is the ATI radeon HD 4550 1gbi got a duel core 650 intel i5 2.66 ghz i thinkand 4 gigs of ram,1 tb harddrivethink that will do good?

Or do i need a better video card. Im not really good at the whole videocard judging all i know is that its not a 'gaming' video cardPosts: 3490 Joined: Wed Jul 11, 2007 1:51 pm.Facepalm.Dual Core optimized means that it works as well as it did on single cores, but now gamers get more advantage from dual cores, because the game uses them more efficientlyEDIT:Also, if you seriously have only one core on your PC, then you REALLY should upgrade, as no games will run for you nowadaysThe OP is referring to the system requirements that were posted yesterday on the Bethesda Blog. It does say under requirements, Dual Core 2.0GHz. I don't see how NV would require a dual core, so that has to be a mistake. From what I've seen, it looks like they're using better textures than F3, but that would only push the GPU requirement up, not the CPU.Posts: 3413 Joined: Tue Jun 13, 2006 6:40 am.

Fallout new vegas can

The 4550 isn't actually an OMG Awesome card. The 512mb version is just below my sorta svcky card on list. The good news is that my card (Radeon HD2600XT / 256mb. It's an old iMac. /shrug) ran FO3 fine at mid-low settings at 1680x1050.Yeah, you won't be turning everything on (I mean, come on. That one test page linked had it running 4xAA, 16xAF?!? Of course it ran slowly), but it'll work, and the game'll still be pretty enough.Posts: 3353 Joined: Sat Nov 11, 2006 2:46 am.

Multi-threaded applications will run just fine on a single-core processor, though obviously you'll need a significantly faster single core than you would two cores.A 2GHz Athalon 64 3000 isn't really particularly fast, either, so I'm not surprised you're running up against issues. It's not that the games were designed for only dual core (It doesn't work like that, your OS' resource management takes care off all of the messy low level details for you), it's that your processor simply isn't fast enough to keep up.Posts: 3337 Joined: Wed Oct 11, 2006 12:37 pm.

Can I Run Fallout New Vegas On Windows 10

Had Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas working on Windows 10, but had to reinstall both games and now no matter what I do FONV refuses to work, Fallout 3 works but not FONV, tried the following:Set compatibility to Win 7, Win xp sp3, Win 8, Win 8.1set run as administratorShared folderhad steam redo game cachereinstalled several times, still fobar.Beside the fact that steam is still the worst program on the planet, and completely arbitrary about how it operates. I still can't get FONV to work. What I want to know is how this relates to the hype from Microsoft about Windows 10 being good for games. If they can't resolve this issue, then Windows 10 is of no further use to me and I will be returning to Windows 7, not just on 1 computer but on 5.
