I already own Fallout 3 on both Steam and GoG. I had it on Steam first and then bought it on GoG because of all the improvements that came with it (removed GFWL, among others). I am now contemplating doing the same with NV, but I am not sure if GoG has done anything to address all the stutter/stability issues NV had. Does anybody have any experience that could help out?Even with mods that apparently fix the crashes and the stutter, the game remains very unstable. Thanks in advance for your help! I just bought NV on GoG, as on Steam (which I also own), the loading screen never ends. I went and bought it here, assuming it'd be a simple fix, right? Nope, it does the same thing. I don't know how to get it to stop on either version.

TLDR: I can only speak from personal experience of course, but for me it works.I watched smn recently playing the vanilla Steam version on twitch and he ran into some bugs I've never seen, like npc-enemy clones spawning with a bugged ai next to the originals. But by itself the game didn't crash and I can't remember if he got the loading screen loop.I got the DVD back in the day myself and lost it due to a frequently moving, along with other stuff, and had to play from my backup, which actually worked fine after patching, even with mods. The GOG-version I got last year works, if anything, a little better.

The 4GB patch is included and I had no trouble running it with about 80 mods on Windows 7, 64bits. Was just browsing here cause I got Fallout Tactics last week and was curious to see some posts. Btw: I've seen other people mention that they got rid of the infinite loading loop on Windows 10 when whitelisting/turning off their AV-software.As always your mileage may vary with Gamebryo. Anyhow, it might help if you relay some info about your OS/mods so people using a similar setup can provide better feedback.Good luck, have fun. On Steam, I usually ran with only the essentials (NMV Texture Pack, EVE and all the crash/stutter fixes you can possibly find)Currently I am on Win10, the infinite loading never was a big issue for me, rather the most random crashes or hardlocks, but it is good to know that it seems better on GoG. Since I prefer DRM-free and it is on sale now anyway, I might just snag it and see how it works!
