Like any vinyl it gets softer andeasier to tear and ruin when it is hot!In cold weather all vinyls can becomebrittle and should not be applied below 10 degree Centigrade, if it is coldweather and the post man has just delivered it, it could have sat in sub zerotemperatures, so let it warm to room temperature over night.When you receive your sun strip it is tightly rolled, this has protected itin transit. Unwrap it and remove the labels holding it together. Loosen theroll, but don't try to completely straighten it. It is normal for the veryinside to be wrinkled. Leave it over night at room temperature and it will bemore pliable and easier to apply.One corner has had a small piece of vinyl removed to make it easier for youto peel the backing paper away.If there is a problem with the sunstrip you have received let us know when itarrives.

Sun shades on outside of car. Where you would hook them on a modern vehicle is beyond me. Then there’s the problem of folding and stowing a wet sun shield after an unexpected rain shower. I’ll continue to position mine on the inside of the windshield, where it can’t blow away or be stolen. Attach your tag to the inside of the car windscreen behind the driver’s rear vision mirror. The tag should be placed below any tinting or external visor. Note: Note: If your vehicle has a metallic windscreen, an area of it will be covered with dots or be lighter than the rest of the windscreen. Your tag should be mounted in this area.

Measure down from each side of the top of the screen and apply a littlemasking tape, to mark the same length at each side of the windscreen. Thiswill help ensure the strip is applied 'straight'.

Once rinsed, leave a thin layer of soapy water on the screen. Large 30cm sunstrips will have an edge marked 'top' to be placedat the top of the windscreen. The bottom edge is the best edge and will alsohave been packed to protect it. Remove backing paper from the sunstrip and apply a thin smearing of soapywater to that too!. Apply sunstrip to screen leaving the excess at the sides and top. Thesoapy water will allow movement of the strip to ensure it's placed centrally. Squeeze out excess water and air bubbles from under the strip, the side ofa credit card is a handy tool for this (one with smooth edges, if in doubtwrapping it in a sock should stop it scratching the vinyl).

Pin prick any bubbles that won't goaway and press flat. Trim off excess vinyl with a sharp knife.
